V20 Ministerial Dialogue VII
Kindly note this meeting is postponed to 15 July 2021 at 1:30pm GMT.
Under the Climate Prosperity agenda of “Building back stronger” by charting a decade of robust socio-economic development that fully integrates climate resilience and low carbon economic growth, we may collectively advocate for international action to tackle tandem economic, COVID-19 pandemic and climate crises we especially face. This provides an opportunity for exchange concerning radical new efforts to tackle a crisis on multiple fronts and the needs of vulnerable economies, among them possibilities for new forms of crisis assistance. Specifically, the Ministerial Dialogue aims to deliberate on (1) the V20 Vision 2025 to underpin the direction of the V20 to reach key socio-economic growth outcomes; (2) V20 Action Collaborative Agenda for the systematic and universal consideration of climate risk to unlock special financial assistance; (3) national “Climate Prosperity Plans” as integrated economic-climate-SDG investment and strategic economic cooperation frameworks to advance our V20 aims and investment at the economy-level – the Government of Bangladesh will present the Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan Decade 2030; and (4) the launch of the CVF & V20 Joint Multi-Donor Fund, a voluntary, multi-stakeholder strategic financial and implementation tool to enable climate action by CVF and V20 members.
Together, the V20 look forward to advancing collaboration of joined forces for economic partnerships with the most vulnerable economies.
