Climate Vulnerability Monitor is a series of independent assessments into the current impact of climate change commissioned by the CVF as its flagship publication to-date. Its purpose is the provision of a comprehensive understanding of the specific challenges faced by society due to climate change now, and how to respond – as grounded in the latest leading research and knowledge available. The first two Monitor reports were developed by the humanitarian research organization DARA in consultation with external review bodies.
The latest Monitor was launched in September 2012 by the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H.E. Sheikh Hasina. The first report was launched in December 2010 by the Maldives President H.E. Mohamed Nasheed.
