19 June 2023 – The Vulnerable Twenty Group of Ministers of Finance will host side events and participate in roundtables at the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact, to be held on 22-23 June 2023, in Paris, France. V20 heads of state and finance ministers from V20 chair Ghana, Summit co-host Barbados, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Chad, Tunisia, Rwanda, and Morocco are expected to attend.
At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Summit will bring together heads of state and government, leaders of major international organizations, representatives of global financial institutions, and private sector and civil society representatives. Its goal is to lay the groundwork for a new financial system, one that is fairer and more solidarity-based, to meet our shared global challenges: the fight against poverty, climate change and the protection of diversity.
